Q.U.B.E the story so far

Newport alumni, Dan Da Rocha, Dave Hall and John Savery a.k.a. Toxic Games have been awarded significant funding by Indie Fund (http://indie-fund.com/) to continue the development and commercialisation of their game Q.U.B.E. They have been invited to the Independent Games Summit at GDC where the funding award was announced (http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/03/01/inside-the-indie-fund-a-better-deal-for-developers/).

Q.U.B.E. is a first person puzzle solving game where the player finds themselves set in an environment built from cubes. The objective is to explore the environment and complete challenging puzzles by manipulating coloured cubes using a special pair of gloves. The player can pull out red cubes, launch themselves using blue cubes, pull out multiple sets of yellow cubes and push around green cubes.

Q.U.B.E. was a finalist in the Indie Game Challenge  http://www.indiegamechallenge.com/finalists/qube/. Watch Dan talk about Q.U.B.E. and the IGC on G4TV (from about 25 minutes in).
