Great news for Games Design graduates Seb Filby, Faye Allen & Sam Beale for winning a Ffresh Student Media Festival Award for their game Comet’s Tale in the Games & Interactive category.

A few weeks ago the Games Gradshow was in full swing, showing off final year undergraduate work from students on the BA (Hons) Computer Games Design and BA (Hons) Game Art courses.
It was pretty busy from the get go, with lots of people coming to visit from local games, animation and media companies. We are very pleased to announce that this year there are several games from Newport Graduates that have been short-listed for the TIGA Games Industry Awards.
Tamoanchan by Jamie Lewis, Daisy Spiers, Jazz Moore & Craig Fox, has been short-listed in the ‘Student Game’ category.
Skyrunner: Rau and the Red Kites by Owen Pilliner and Dan Pearce, has been short-listed in the ‘Student Game’ category.
Mush by Angry Mango has been short-listed in the ‘Debut Game’, ‘Visual Design’ & ‘Originality’ categories.

Daniel Da Rocha is from Toxic Games, lead designer of multi-award winning, first Indie Fund game, Q.U.B.E. and Henry Hoffman is from Angry Mango Games, lead designer of chart topping, BAFTA winning Windows Phone 7 game, Mush.
